This memorial was created by Jennifer Scolforo and is dedicated to the life and memory of her father, Leo Scolforo. He will be forever missed.

Leo, age 52, passed away on March 18, 2009 during a game of pick up basketball. He was born January 29, 1957 to Leo Jr and Susan in North Carolina.

He lived his adult life in Virginia (Bealeton, Manassas, Viewtown, Woodbridge, Charlottesville)

He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan Wickham, who died when Leo was just 10.

He was survived by his fiancee of 12 years, Judy, as well as his father, Leo Jr, his daughter, Jennifer, his son, Tony, two grandkids, brothers Mark, Matt, Kenny, Geoffrey, Kevin, and Jeremy, and sisters Angela, Kathleen, Meghan, and Annie.

Leo served in the United States Marine Corps for 4 years.

He worked as a master electrician his entire career.

He was a HUGE Redskins fan who rarely missed a game on TV, he loved to play pickup basketball, do crosswords, read the newspaper, talk about history, and most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

My dad will always be remembered as the person who was always smiling. He knew how to make everyone around him happy. He loved kids especially his grandkids, and he saw them every chance he could. I personally will always remember the fun times we had (riding his jetski, singing karaoke, hanging out at Lake Anna, going to a club in Myrtle Beach, etc) I will never forget our last conversation when he told me he was so proud of me, and he loved me more than anything.

Arrangements were handled by Found and Sons Funeral Chapel and Funeral services were held at Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA.

Six months have come and gone and I still miss you tons. Sometimes I think your sitting in the rocking chair in the corner at the end of the day. I wish you could see Ben playing goallie - you would love that! I went to a beer festival and wished you were there! We miss you!

Jennifer,
I am so sorry about your loss. I used to work with your dad as his helper when he worked for Design Electric here in Charlottesville, VA. I just found out about his death this evening (10-21-09) when talking to another person I used to work with at the company. I had left Design back in August of last year. I met him around March and the last time I saw him was in August. I was deeply saddened to here about his passing this evening and could not believe it. I remember he always used to talk about you, his family, his jet-skiing adventures, and all kinds of other things. I do remember he always used to go after work and play ball. Seems like it was one of his favorite pass times. Leo, you will always be remembered for your kindness and happy personality. You will be missed. Paul

Daddy,
Almost a year has gone by, but it seems like just yesterday we were goofing off and talking about you getting your new convertible and jetski and wondering how fast we could get to Florida! I miss you so much! Joey talks about you all the time, and he still asks when you're coming back. I love you so much, and I will never forget you!

Love,
your baby girl

Leo was the best friend I've ever had. I miss him a great deal! He showed me tough yet unconditional love and I will always appreciate the time and energy he put into broadening my horizons and knowledge of useless facts. I want to offer my condolensces to his family especially Jen and Tony. Hang in there and stay in touch. I love your Dad and I'll miss him.
